With the tournament fast approaching, we are still listing sensibly priced properties in sought after locations. If you would like your home considered for listing please complete an application form and attach with landscape photos, interior and exterior, to be assessed. Please email the info through in the first instance rather than phone the office as we cannot assess the suitability of your property without this information. Once we've got the application and photos we will let you know as soon as we can if we have a current enquiry for that type of property, or if your home can be wait listed for future enquiries.

As Agents and Property Managers we act as accommodation brokers for your property which includes international advertising, screening, secure booking and deposits, and then collect the rental income on your behalf. The rental income is held in Trust until the rental period begins.
- You apply to advertise your property
- We work with you through the application including assistance with setting an appropriate rental, how long you are offering your property, special features etc
- When we have a party interested in your property, we liaise with you as to the type of guest you prefer and confirm your booking and take the deposit on your behalf. We collect all rental income and hold this in trust until nearer the rental period. You have the final say in accepting the booking.
Not all houses will be listed on the website. Instead we work with the guests to ensure their specific requirements are met.
What’s in it for me?
A great way to get involved in the competition and to really be part of the Rugby World Cup at ground level!
We aim to market properties to be available for 3-6 weeks (although we will accept shorter term properties to suit the homeowners) so international guests can enjoy all the country has to offer from a home away from home.
How do I know my money is safe?
All rental monies will be held in Trust with an account held at Westpac Bank in Richmond, Nelson. This account requires three two signatories to transfer money (one an external accountant) and will be audited quarterly.
How much can I get for my house?
We will work with you to set a nightly/weekly rate to suit the individuality of your property considering the number of occupants / bedrooms, location to main stadiums, airports etc.
Rental income will need to be declared on your tax return and we recommend you seek advice on this from a Chartered Accountant or the Inland Revenue Department direct.
What is required of me and my house?
The competition is less than 12 months away but a commitment to lease now requires serious thought. You will be contracted to lease your property - pending no major changes altering your ability to do so.
We will provide some recommendation as to how to prepare your property for the guests. These include the removal of valuable items and jewellery, packing away your personal belongings and clothes. You will be required to advise your Insurance Company of your intentions to temporarily rent your property out.
Working smoke alarms and a Fire Extinguisher will be required and will be tested at inspection.
As part of the application process, we will require proof of ownership, to protect property owners from people renting out rental properties.
The property will need to be vacant 48 hours prior to the arrival of the guests. At the completion of the rental period, we ask for at least 48 hours to have cleaners ready the property for your return home.
What does it cost?
A $99 registration fee is charged on acceptance of a listing and must be paid prior to the property being marketed on the website. We also charge a commission on the total rental payable which covers the administration of collecting the rental income, auditing of the Trust account and international collection charges, as well as the on-paying of rental incomes to you. This commission also covers our full property management services. Please enquire as to what this commission is and what it covers.

We need the application form and photos to do an initial assessment on your home, and will let you know as soon as we can whether it is of interest to our guests or if it can be wait listed. Where possible your property will be inspected prior to listing although sometimes demand for certain properties means this is not always possible. Where a property is listed prior to an inspection, and for any reason we feel your property does not meet our specific criteria, then we reserve the right to remove a property and refund the $99 registration fee. The refusal of any property is at our sole discretion and can be made without reason being given.
